The reason we
began petitioning God about our calling here stemmed from the fact that
one of my jobs began to take all of my time, energy, and emotional strength. I loved my job. At the same time, I found myself stretched thin. After a days work, I had nothing left to give to my husband or to ministry - my 2 priorities. Could there be a balance that we have, simply, yet to figure out?To make a long story short, the Lord frequently seems to remind me of two things: that he is both my provider and my peace. This was a lesson that I assumed my Master Teacher would not have to re-insert into my curriculum. Perhaps I have not learned the lesson. By quitting my job, Calvin and I would be cutting our income in half and removing our health insurance. According to our own standards, "We are definitely crazy." According to God's standards, "What is holding you back?"
Needless to say, we decided that I would leave my job. Since doing so, I have been given the opportunity to devote my energies to my husband and to ministry because of a particular new job, Shaklee, that has come into my path. Shaklee is The #1 Natural Nutrition Company in the U.S. With my background in health, there could not have been a bigger answer to prayer than to be able to become a full-time Shaklee Independent Distributor. Reason being, it is allowing me to not only be flexible to ministry with my husband but also gives me a chance to pursue my passion for health.
Throughout this blog, I will share with you about my passion for health, the joyous challenges of being newlyweds in ministry, and also the faithfulness that God shows us as we trust him to satisfy our needs!
